Location: Indian Valley Middle School – Cafeteria
Together you and your child can learn the basic steps involved in decorating cakes and cupcakes. Bring a baked cake or cupcakes to class each week and you will ice your cake, create different styles of borders, make flowers such as roses & violets, and do decorative writing. You will also decorate some cakes with seasonal themes. There will be a material expense, as you must purchase cake decorating supplies & kit (that can be shared). You will receive a list (before class) of supplies to purchase for class.

What makes a better gift than homemade chocolates! In class you and your child will make molded chocolates, raisin and fruit clusters, chocolate covered pretzels and other surprises. These are great for gift giving to family, friends, teachers, neighbors – or, just enjoy them yourself! Each family takes home a mold to make more treats. A supply list will be sent to you before class. Bring a tray or large plastic box to carry home treats. Material Fee: $15 for parent & one child - $8 material fee for extra child payable in class. You’ll love the imagination and creativity of making this dish garden planted with sedums and decorated with a small woodland house, pebble path, and even a fairy figurine! Each one is different. INTRODUCTION TO POTTERY FOR PARENT AND CHILD

Do you have a child who enjoys art and would like to experience working with clay? In class you and your child will learn to hand mold candleholders, make a “bowl-in-a-bowl”, charming flower pockets and holiday ornaments. Week one & two will be spent making your clay items, and week three will be spent painting and glazing your creations. Completed items may be picked up any Monday night in time for the holidays. Cost of supplies: $12 per child payable in class to instructor (includes all materials and firing of objects). Grades K-6. Gold Cards may not be used for this class. Not Open to Use of Gold Cards

Location: Souderton High School Pottery Room
You and your child can learn to make pottery on the potter’s wheel. You can both try your hand at this craft, or parents may accompany their child to class for this experience. On week one you will make your pottery pieces, then on the 2nd week, you will glaze the piece for firing. There will be a week between classes in order to allow pottery to dry properly. Pieces may be picked up on a Monday night after the end of class. Cost for clay, glazing and firing $15 (per child) payable in class.

Do you have a budding young chef in your home? Things will be heating up as the children mix it up with The Playful Chef. Children will create recipes and crafts, (2 food items & 1 craft). Children have fun in the kitchen learning new cooking skills, trying new recipes and making a cooking-related craft. Wear old clothes (things may get messy), bring Mom, Dad or Grandma, and get ready to have some fun. Supply cost: $15 parent & 1 child - $5 per extra child - payable in class. For parents and children (ages 4-12). Zumbatomic classes are rockin’, high-energy fitness parties packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines with music kids love, like hip-hop, reggaeton, cumbia and more. Zumbatomic increases focus and self-confidence, boosts metabolism and enhances coordination in children and rounds out family fitness goals by giving parents a great reason to head to the gym for their own exercise regimen. A “fun” family experience.
