Explore equipment and techniques to make your landscape and nature photography easier and more rewarding.  Topics include camera features and accessories, personal gear, preparation for a remote shoot, landscape photography history and genre, basic composition, and the effect of light on photography.  Special considerations such as capturing star trails and lightening and examples of composition will be presented.  A brief introduction to digital enhancement using Photoshop will be provided. Work on computer will be done at home. Emphasis is on digital photography although principles of digital and film photography will be taught. Some photography experience preferred, and students should be aware of interaction between aperture, shutter speed and ISO as well as impact of aperture setting on depth of field.  DSLR camera recommended.
