Learn CPR in one hour with this new program from the American Heart Association! This informal class will teach you how to recognize and take action if someone you know or love stops breathing or their heart stops beating. You will get your own inflatable manikin on which to practice and take home, along with a DVD. You will learn adult and child CPR and what to do if someone is choking. This comprehensive program will teach you what to do if your pet is injured and needs help. Properly applied first aid can save your pet’s life. In this program, we will focus primarily on common emergencies that occur in cats and dogs. You will learn how to do pet CPR and you will get to practice on a manikin. This American Health and Safety Institute course will teach you the immediate care you should give to an injured or ill pet until you can get to a veterinarian. Come find out what to do if your cat or dog is hurt and needs your help. Gold Cards should send $15 material fee with registration.

Learn how to recognize and respond when a child or adult stops breathing or collapses. During the American Heart Association course, you will practice the techniques of breathing and chest compressions as well as learn what to do for a choking child or adult. This American Heart Association class will teach you what to do if your infant (age 12 months or less) chokes or stops breathing. A great class for new parents, grandparents and babysitters. This course is the “Infant” portion of Course # 320 (Infant, Child & Adult CPR listed above) and may be taken by itself. Gold Cards should send $15 material fee with registration.

PEDIATRIC FIRST AID

This American Heart Association course will teach you what to do in the first few minutes of an emergency involving an infant or child. We will cover asthma, seizures, cuts, scrapes, mouth and nose injuries, heat and cold related emergencies. This is a great class for childcare workers, coaches, babysitters or anyone working with children (as well as parents and family members). Participants will receive a course completion card valid for 2 years. Gold Cards should send $25 Material Fee when registering.
