Two different varieties of raspberry bushes will Thrill you, while tasty, ever-bearing strawberries Spill down the outside of the pot. You’ll be picking berries off and on all summer, and at the end of the year, plant the whole thing in a sunny spot and you’ll have lots and lots of berried fruit for years to come. These are some of the easiest fruit to grow. Beside fertilizer, just about all you need to do is remember to throw a net on them, as the birds have an uncanny way of telling the moment the berries are ripe!

Try your hand at fresh flower arranging as you make two beautiful floral arrangements in class. Spend week one making a traditional Fresh Floral Arrangement suitable for a table centerpiece. Week two, learn Ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arranging that emphasizes minimalism and brings together nature and humanity. Work with traditional and seasonal flowers provided by the instructor for a $35 material fee payable in class (Fee covers cost of both arrangements). Bring a hot glue gun, extra glue & scissors.

This landscaping course is designed for the individual who desires to plan their own design with the assistance of our expert instructor. There will be two indoor classes to learn the basic concepts of planning an area and to view plant material in order to gain ideas for how you want to landscape your property. You will draw a sketch or bring photos of your property, then work on the plan that you hope to achieve. The class will make field trips to at least 6 homes of class participants where the instructor will give her suggestions on the best landscape solutions for each property.
