Learn to arrange flowers like a florist! In class you will experiment with three types of arrangements. The first night you will make a Japanese Garden, on week two you will work with artificial silk flowers, and week three you will design a live flower arrangement for Easter. Supply fee is $32 for the Japanese Garden and live arrangement. You should purchase the silk flowers and foliage for week two. Bring scissors or pruning shears to class.

OLDIES BUT GOODIES DANCE LESSONS “Dance to the Music….”

Travel back to the 60’s for a dance lesson (or two) and a chance to re-live those days of the high school hop or dance after the football game. Whether you lived in this era or would like the chance to dance to the music from these times, you are welcome! Our instructor will review the dance steps to the Jitterbug/Swing, the Waltz and Fox Trot (for slow dancing), the Twist and numerous other favorites. This is a good chance to brush up your dance steps as you enjoy those “Oldies but Goodies”.

A class to inspire the artist within you! Students will be introduced to painting with oil and watercolor using a limited palette, while learning composition, drawing, and color theory. Two sessions will concentrate on The Old Masters technique using oils, and two sessions will use the techniques of Impressionism while using watercolor. A finished painting will be the result of each two week session. For beginners and experienced artists. Instructor will demonstrate each medium and technique with an ongoing critique as you paint. As a bonus – all materials will be supplied by your instructor!

Working from a variety of pattern choices, you will “Tailor” and sew a tote bag. Whether you want a bag to carry books, to take to the beach, or just to carry things, you can design your bag to meet your needs. Choose how large a bag you would like to make. Make your bag from an assortment of fabrics such as sailcloth, upholstery fabric, outdoor fabric like Sunbrella, quilted fabric or laminated fabric, and learn to install grommets. The instructor will assist you in designing and constructing your tote bag, and there will be some time to sew in class. A supply list will be sent before class begins. Please bring your portable sewing machine for 2nd and 3rd class, or work in class on other details and sew at home.
