Feng Shui is the Chinese system of geomancy to help one improve life by using positive principles for design and flow of energy. Whether you are new to this area or have lived here your entire life, this class will give you the opportunity to tour local historic sites (that are not usually open to the public) and learn interesting history about the Indian Valley. Joel Alderfer, Librarian and Curator of the Mennonite Heritage Center, will guide weekly tours of meetinghouses, churches, cemeteries, a mill, homestead and schoolhouse. There is a five week itinerary. GOLD CARDS MUST SEND A $20 ADMISSION FEE TO REGISTER. First class meets at the Mennonite Heritage Center, 565 Yoder Road, Harleysville, Pa. This interactive, fun class will use your accessories to change the look and feel of a room with the special treasures you bring to class where the hands-on switcheroo begins. Learn the ins and outs of how to unite collections, dealing with the scale of the room, including open floor plans, tall ceilings or intimate spaces as you create a personal room kit. Bruce Stocking is the historian of the W. S. Hancock Society. He has appeared in films & documentaries about the Civil War, and has organized and participates in numerous reenactments yearly. In addition to lecturing, Stocking assists authors & historians with historical information. Don’t pass up the chance for a presentation by an “A-#1 speaker”. If you have never attended one of Bruce’s seminars, you will be in for a treat! Please note -- course fees are donated to The W.S. Hancock Society for preservation purposes.
From his birth in Montgomery Square until his death on Governor’s Island, Winfield Scott Hancock was front and center to the happenings in American History during the late 19th Century. West Point graduate, Civil War General, military governor, presidential candidate, and hero, round out the man from Montgomery County who went on to create a formidable personal and historic record. Historian, Bruce Stocking, will familiarize you with the life account of this famous Norristown General through his triumphs and tragedies. A slide presentation will allow the viewer to become acquainted with Hancock and follow him through the passage of time. With notables such as James Earl Jones, Linda Hunt, and Donald Sutherland lending their voices to commercials, films, and videos, one would think that it would be next to impossible to break into this field. Not so! In this class you’ll learn about an exciting new way to get around the competition and actually turn voice-overs into a thriving full or part-time business.

Leah Pacitto, Professional Dog Trainer and Member of Association of Pet Dog Trainers, will be offering workshops for you and your pet. Group lessons of 4 dogs per class will be offered at the Montgomery County 4-H Center, 1015 Bridge Rd, Route 113 in Creamery, Pa.

DOG TRAINING CLASSES NOT OPEN TO USE OF GOLD CARDS
For dogs 20 weeks & older. Extensive beginner obedience includes basic commands such as sit, lie down, stay, heel, come, greeting strangers, walking properly on a leash , manners, problem solving, paying attention and more.! All positive correction. Class size is limited to four dogs. Small class size allows personalized attention.
