Published poet and writer Michael Barnett, M.Div., M.Ed. has been a creative writer and poet for 38 years. He works as a teaching artist in poetry and writing with the Lehigh Valley Arts Council. During the summer, Michael facilitates interactive poetry writing and journaling with children and their families at the Santa Fe Children’s Museum.

How can you express your feelings about an important person or an exceptional experience in your life? How do you explain why you are deeply touched by someone’s care and trust? Mark the significance of these personal, magic moments by writing poetry from the heart. You will be encouraged to delve into your core to create the stories of your heartfelt, treasured lives. Experience how being present and still will activate all your senses for observation. Bring a journal, writing instrument, and your poetic self!

Your instructor will help you grow in touch with what truly matters to you to write about with passion and insight. You know when you listen to your “gut feeling” and act upon it, things work out. When you don’t, you end up in trouble! How do you get in touch with your Intuitive Self so you can use this “sixth sense” to create an abundant and joyful life? Your instructor will guide you to build a working relationship with your Intuitive Self to maintain balance and ease in your life. Michael comes from a family lineage of Serbian-Croatian intuitive who contacted spirits and the dead and counsels people intuitively as an instrument of the spirit to help create their full potentials. Bring a journal, writing instrument, and your searching intuitive self!
