For Children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th Grade
FEATURING: Pre-Kindergarten Day Camp (for Children entering Kindergarten in Fall 2008)
Our theme for Summer Adventure 2008 is "Celebrating Diversity & the Children of the World"
Each week of Day Camp will feature a different area of the world. Through our activities, children
will discover what it is like to be a child living in these regions and cultures. Campers will learn that
all children, no matter where they live, share the same hopes, dreams, and love of life.
Dates: June 18-August 22 *No camp on Friday, July 4, 2008
Times: 7:00a.m.-6:00p.m.
Locations: Franconia Elementary, Oak Ridge Elementary, and Vernfield Elementary
Note: Pre-Kindergarten Day Camp will be held at Oak Ridge and Vernfield Only
Flexible Schedule: Children may attend by the day, by the week, 3 days a week, trip week, programs and workshops, individual trips or the entire summer package!
Parent-Friendly Hours at Reasonable Rates: Our Day Camp Hours are 7:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. - Free Extended Hours!! You may bring your child any time between these hours at no extra cost.

The following are included in the Summer Day Camp:
Quality Recreational Activities, Sports & Game time, Arts & Crafts, Thematic Projects, Music Sing-a-long, Nature & Ecology, Swimming (Twice Weekly between
June 23 and July 31 - Franconia swims Tuesday & Thursday, Oak Ridge swims Monday & Wednesday, Vernfield swims Monday & Thursday), Swimming Lessons for
Everyone, Special Event Days, Storytime, Cartooning, 4 Free Day Trips, Air Conditioned Buildings, and Daily Lunch & Snacks.
LUNCH WILL INCLUDE:
Choice of two entrees daily, vegetable, fruit, milk or cold beverage and dessert.
A La Carte items will be available to purchase (Cost of lunch and snacks included in
Day Camp cost).

Day Camp is open 5 Days a week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Week 1 - June 18-20, "South of the Border" (Mexico, Central & South America)
- Week 2 - June 23-27, "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" (Australia & the Land "Down Under")
- Week 3 - June 30-July 3, "Arctic Antics" (Countries of the North - Alaska, Canada, Scandinavia, Greenland, Russia)
- Week 4 - July 7-11, "Into Africa" (Countries & Cultures of Africa)
- Week 5 - July 14-18, "Get Your Kicks on Route 66" (USA from Chicago to LA - including SW Native Americans)
- Week 6 - July 21-25, "Oriental Odyssey" (Countries of Asia)
- Week 7 - July 28-Aug. 1, "European Escapades" (London, Paris, Rome, Vienna & Dublin)
- Week 8 - Aug. 4-8, "Island Hoppers" (Islands of the World - Caribbean, South Pacific, Greece)
- Week 9 - Aug. 11-15, "Safari Trip Week" (Safari Week departs from Franconia only)

Aug. 18-22, "Best of Summer - SAVEing our World"
This week will be held at West Broad Street Elementary School and will provide parents with an extra week of child
care before school begins. Camp will be open from 7:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. Activities will be ecology-based.
