7/12/2010: SAHS Principals Provide Hands-on Welcome

SAHS principals provide hands-on welcome Parents of Souderton Area High School freshman may find a surprise guest at their door on July 27, July 29, August 24, or August 26 when high school staff and LINK Crew members venture out into the district to make randomly selected “house calls” at the homes of incoming freshman. The brief visits will take place from 5:00-7:00p.m. those evenings when the principals will offer welcoming messages and literature to parents and students in the 2010-11 freshman class.

Principal Sam Varano, said, “With the visits the administrators hope to give a personal welcome as these students enter high school, and reassure them that there will be many people at the high school to help them make the transition.”

Due to the number of students in the freshman class, not every household will be visited. If a family is not home at the time of the visit, literature about the high school will be left at the residence.
