Franconia Township Police Department Makes Donation to SASD

Franconia Township Police Department Makes Donation to SASDAutism Awareness PatchThere were several Franconia Township Police Officers in attendance at the Souderton Area School District Board of School Directors Meeting on Thursday, May 23, 2019.  The officers were in attendance to make a donation to the school district’s special education Autism programs.

Franconia Township Officer Timothy Boyle said that the Department had been fundraising for almost a year, through the sales of a stitched Autism Awareness patch and were pleased to present the school district with a check in the amount of $5,000. 

Franconia Elementary School Principal Laura Heineck thanked the Franconia Police for their continued relationships within in the community.  Superintendent of Schools, Frank T. Gallagher praised them “as a tremendous group of professionals, helping to keep our schools safe, and going above and beyond with this donation.”
