MAP Information

MAP logoSouderton Area School District is administering MAP Growth assessments to all students K-8. The MAP Growth assessments, adaptive tests taken on a computer or tablet, measure what students know and what they are ready to learn.  The test also provides data around the typical growth for students who are in the same grade, subject, and have the same starting achievement level. MAP Growth is designed to measure student achievement in the moment and growth over time, regardless of grade level. Teachers receive immediate results with MAP Growth that show what students know and what they are ready to learn, which can be used to help prepare lessons at the appropriate level for the students. MAP assessment data also assists teachers in providing differentiated learning experiences, meeting students where they are, and monitoring individual progress. The MAP Growth scores are just one data point to help inform how a student is performing and are scheduled for Fall, Winter and Spring administrations.
