SASD Next: 1-to-1

SASDNext is a five-year plan that was developed by a district wide committee of teachers, administrators, community members and students in an effort to transform teaching and learning. The plan was implemented during the 2016-2017 school year and has created an exciting opportunity for us all to reimagine how we teach and how we engage our students to be collaborative lifelong learners. Using technology as a core element of instruction is one goal of the SASD Next plan.

1-to-1 Computing
As part of the SASD Next plan, Souderton Area School District is excited to begin implementing phase two of 1-to-1 computing by distributing laptops at Souderton High School during the 2017-2018 School Year. Each high school student will receive a device that will enable them to participate in a wide range of learning experiences in the classroom.

In the 2016-2017 school year, students at both Indian Crest and Indian Valley paved the way by receiving devices to use both in school and at home. Middle school students will continue with 1-to-1 computing and will expand how they use it to enhance their learning.
