ESL: Exit Criteria for Limited English Proficient (LEP) Students

Multiple criteria will be used to determine when LEP students will be able to exit from the ESL program. LEP students will exit ESL when:othey can perform at or near the Proficient level on district standards-based assessments in speaking, reading, and writingothey can perform successfully in the regular education program as evidenced by district assessments, grades, teachers’ observations, etc.
