The Souderton Area School District Food Service Department would like to welcome you and your family back to an exciting 2011-2012 school year. The Department is proud to serve the students well-balanced breakfasts and lunches. The students are offered a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, low fat, low sodium entrees, and a wide variety of nutritious snacks, beverages, and water. Our meals are planned to meet one-third of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA). Conscious of the importance of decreasing fat, sugar, and salt in school meals and implementing the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, more local fresh fruits, vegetables, and high fiber foods have been included in the daily food choices.

The Souderton Area School District Food Service Department offers an easy way to manage your child’s lunch account and is now accepting meal payments at www.mylunchmoney.com. Simply sign up with your child’s student ID number and birthdate at your convenience. Each child’s information may be modified under “EDIT”. Parents have the capability to monitor what your child is purchasing and check their balance on the account. Your child will never lose your check or cash on the way to school again!

A credit/debit fee of $1.95 is only charged when money is placed on your child’s account by the card company. www.mylunchmoney.com is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

If you are placing spending limits on your child’s account, this information needs to be conveyed to your child’s building Food Service Manager via written note or email.

BONUS BUCKS will be offered Monday, August 1, 2011 through Friday, October 28, 2011. For every $10.00 placed on your child’s account in this time period, $1.00 will be added to your child’s account. Bonus bucks will be applied after August 29, 2011 by the building Food Service Manager to your child’s account. Any child’s account with a negative balance’s as of July 1, 2011 is not eligible for Bonus Bucks.

Cash or check payments to your child’s account are requested to be delivered to the building Food Service Manager before school starts.
