Special Education Services

Special Education programs are available for all school aged students identified as exceptional according to Pennsylvania State standards and regulations. Souderton Area operates special education classes K-12 offering a continuum of services for those students identified with special needs (learning support, emotional support and life skills support, multi-handicapped and gifted). For those children whose educational needs can not be met in a district program, placement is made in Montgomery County Intermediate Unit classes or in an approved private school.

All district classes are fully integrated in each school with mainstreaming/inclusion as appropriate.

Students in grades 9-12 may choose to attend North Montco Technical Career Center for half of their school day.
