Community Use of Schools and Facilities

The school facilities of the Souderton Area School District are made available for community purposes, provided that such use does not interfere with the educational program, will not interfere with district programs and will not constitute a public nuisance. Facilities will not be made available prior to 6:00p.m. on weeknights, 7:00a.m. on weekends or after 10:00p.m.

An application must be filled out to request the use of a school facility.
Applications are available at:

Complete the application for use of facility (please print clearly) and return the completed form to Elishia Young-Platt, [email protected] or mail to the attention of Elishia Young-Platt at the District Office address above.

Requests are reviewed and approved by the master calendar scheduler Elishia Young-Platt, Building Principal and Supervisor of Operations, Frank Ball. After the request has gone through all the approvals, you will receive an email informing you that your request has been approved. This process can take up to a week.

Fees are charged for the use of schools according to community or non-community status and school/facility requested. Additional fees are also charged for custodian, security (if needed), sound/lighting equipment and operator. Kitchen workers, pool lifeguards or supervisors are billed separately.

In the event of a scheduling conflict with school district activities, which are top priority, it may be necessary to change the location or date of your event. Every effort will be made to comply with your request.

For additional information or facility availability, please contact Elishia Young-Platt at [email protected] or call 215-723-6061 ext 10212.
