Coronavirus Preparedness

With the safety and well-being of students always in mind, the District has been keeping a close eye on the coronavirus outbreak around the globe.  The District has procedures in place for reportable or communicable illnesses, including the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

There are NO reported cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 connected to the Souderton Area School District or the state of Pennsylvania at this time.

The District will continue to monitor this situation and work closely with the Montgomery County Office of Public Health.  If there were a confirmed case of the coronavirus in our community, guidance and information would immediately be distributed to our families.
Please see the additional important information below from the Centers for Disease Control:
  • The risk of getting COVID-19 in the U.S. is currently low.
    • Some people who have traveled to places where many people have gotten sick with COVID-19 may be monitored by health officials to protect their health and the health of other people in the community.

  • Some simple things you can do to help keep yourself and others healthy:
    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
    • Stay home when you are sick.
    • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
