Regular In-Person Schedule Resumes Tuesday, September 29th

Thank you to all of our staff members, students, and parents for your diligence, perseverance, and patience as we work through the beginning of this challenging school year. It’s been wonderful to see students back in our schools - even from behind a mask. Our students have done an incredible job following our new safety protocols, and our staff members are working extremely hard to reach our students both in person and virtually. I’m so impressed with the way everyone has come together, once again exemplifying the incredible sense of community that exists in this school district.

As you know, on Tuesday, September 29th, our regular, full-time schedule will resume for all students who selected in-person instruction (Schools are closed Monday, September 28th, for the Yom Kippur holiday). We believe this model will provide important educational continuity, and we are delighted that students will once again have daily in-person instruction after so many months. We are following local and state health guidance, and are providing 6 feet of separation between students whenever possible. Face coverings are required in our schools, and we have a variety of safety protocols that include frequent handwashing and sanitizing.

I have implored members of our community to protect themselves and others by continuing to practice social distancing and good hygiene in an effort to keep community spread low so that our schools can remain open. It will be imperative that each of our families monitor their child for COVID-19 symptoms each day, and strictly follow our guidelines for when to keep students home from school.

We are continuing to work closely with the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, which will provide contact tracing in the event of any COVID-19 positive cases. Anyone who is at risk, per the Office of Public Health, will be notified.
