Updated Face Coverings and Travel Order

On Tuesday, November 17th, the Pennsylvania Department of Health revised its orders governing face coverings and travel outside of the state of Pennsylvania.  Please see the important information below.

Face Coverings:
The requirement for students and staff to wear face masks remains in effect, with some additional requirements. Face shields are still permitted in certain circumstances, but chin-shields are no longer an acceptable alternative to masks.
See the strengthened Masking Order.

Travel Outside of Pennsylvania:
Effective Friday, November 20th, any individual who visits Pennsylvania from another state must have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to entering the commonwealth or quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvanians visiting other states are required to have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to their return to the commonwealth or to quarantine for 14 days upon return to Pennsylvania.

This order applies to all Pennsylvania residents, including all SASD students and staff. Students who travel out of state on or after November 20th will be required to present evidence of a negative COVID-19 test to the school office or fulfill the quarantine requirement prior to returning to in-person schooling.
