More Information About Test to Stay

November 18th, 2021

As a follow-up to yesterday’s message, we are writing to provide you with more information on the upcoming "Test to Stay" program. The goal of the Test to Stay program is to reduce the need to quarantine healthy students. The program, which is approved by the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, permits school districts to offer free, voluntary rapid antigen tests to students who have been identified as close contacts to a positive COVID-19 case.

Next week, there is no school for students. We will be holding parent-teacher conferences and look forward to conversations about your child’s progress. Schools will be closed the remainder of the week in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. The Test to Stay program will commence on Monday, November 29th. Beginning then, whenever an eligible student is identified as a close contact, parents will be contacted and offered to participate in the program as an alternative to quarantining at home.
