Health and Safety Reminders - May 5, 2022

May 5, 2022

There has recently been an increase in COVID-19 cases across Montgomery County and we are also observing a slight uptick in cases locally. Other childhood illnesses and allergies are also common this time of year. To help distinguish COVID-19 symptoms from allergy symptoms, please refer to the Seasonal Allergies or COVID-19 resource. A reminder that the following symptoms are common to both allergies and COVID-19:
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Headache
  • Cough
  • Fatigue
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
If your child is experiencing any of the symptoms described, please keep your child home from school, contact your healthcare provider, inform them of your child’s symptoms, and follow their advice.

The District continues to report aggregate case numbers on a weekly basis. Case numbers can be viewed on the District’s COVID-19 dashboard.
