Driver Education For Teens

Offered by Souderton Area School District's Community Ed Department, in Cooperation with - THE RESPONSIBLE DRIVING SCHOOL

Classroom Fee: $145 (30 Hours)
Each ten-week session runs 3 hours per day for a total of 30 hours. Students are required to complete 30 hours to receive a certificate.

Classes are taught by certified teachers. Classes open to Souderton as well as out-of-district students.

CLASSROOM THEORY - The Responsible Driving School will provide 30 hours of PA Department of Education approved classroom instruction designed to develop positive attitudes toward driving. Students are required to complete all 30 hours to receive a certificate. Instructors will also focus on defensive driving techniques and managing distractions while behind the wheel. This class fulfills insurance company standards for driver education classroom theory. To register, students must be 16 or turn 16 by the end of class. You must take Classroom Theory before taking Behind-the-Wheel. (Behind the Wheel training available through NMTCC www.nmtcc.org.)

FREE PARENT NIGHT
Parent Night allows parents the opportunity to meet the instructor and review the curriculum that will be taught during the 30 hours of classroom instruction. Information will be provided on how parents can help enhance their child’s experience during the 65 hours of behind the wheel practice driving.
