BusPatrol Safety Program
BusPatrol is a program approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation that seeks to curb dangerous motorist behavior around school buses and make the journey to and from school safer for all student riders. As part of the BusPatrol program, all Souderton Area School District school buses have safety technology cameras, including stop-arm enforcement cameras. This safety technology is designed to capture school bus violation events. A stop-arm violation will carry a fine. Violations are confirmed by local law enforcement.
The BusPatrol program is entirely funded by fees from stop-arm violations.
