YMCA "Kids Kare" Program

Kids Kare is a child-care program for grades K-5, operated for the Souderton Area elementary schools by the Indian Valley branch of the North Penn YMCA. The program is designed to meet the needs of working parents, and is offered at all district elementary schools before school (7:00-8:30a.m.) and after school (3:15-6:00p.m.).

The Kids Kare program provides a fun, nurturing environment for your child before and after school. Kids Kare includes various activities including sports, games, crafts, character development, homework supervision, snack, and more. Enrichment programs include math, reading, and science.

For Kindergarten students, the Harleysville YMCA Early Childhood Center provides both a morning and afternoon Extended Kindergarten Program for children in the Souderton Area School District. The Kindergarten Enrichment program includes art, crafts, games, language arts, math, science, music, gym, creative play, outdoor play, lunchtime, and quiet time. Bus transportation is provided.

The YMCA states, "It is the YMCA's aim to provide quality, safe, educational and recreational child care supervised by certified, experienced personnel." For additional information, call the Indian Valley Branch at 215-723-3569.
