Kindergarten Registration

2020-2021 Kindergarten Registration Scheduling and Important Information

Kindergarten Registration for students planning to attend the Souderton Area School District in the 2020-2021 school year is open! Please see the important information below.
*Note:  Registration for grades 1 through 12 for 2020-2021 will re-open on April 14th

STEP 1: Complete a 2020-2021 Kindergarten Registration Packet (fillable PDF). 
*Registration forms may also be completed in the Registration Office

STEP 2: After completing, printing and signing your child's 2020-2021 Registration Packet, schedule your child's Registration Appointment ONLINE

Required Documents:
In addition to your completed registration packet, you must also bring a copy of your child's immunizations to registration.  The following are required for entrance into school:

  • Tetanus, Diphtheria, Acellular Pertussis* (4 doses with 1 dose administered on or after the fourth birthday)
  • Polio (4 doses (4th dose on or after 4th birthday and at least 6 months after previous dose given))
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (German Measles)** (2 doses)
  • Hepatitis B (3 doses)
  • Varicella (2 doses (chicken pox) or evidence of immunity)

* Usually given as DTaP or DTP or DT or Td
** Usually given as MMR

Children who will be five years of age on or before August 31, 2020, will be eligible for kindergarten.  Please bring your child's original birth certificate.  You must also bring proof of residency as follows:
  • Current electric bill if you own your home
  • Copy of lease if you rent
A phone bill or license will not be accepted as proof of residence.
All forms and documents must be presented before your child can be fully enrolled in our kindergarten program. 

Teacher assignments and A.M. or P.M. sessions will be determined during the summer at which time you will receive notification of class times and general kindergarten information.  If there are extenuating circumstances that necessitate a need for a particular session, please put that request in writing.  Please note that A.M. or P.M. sessions will be determined based on reason and availability.

Through lessons and activities within the school walls, and experiences outside on the playground, on the bus, or on field trips, Souderton Area School District kindergarten students are learning to meet the academic expectations of a standard-driven curriculum. In addition, they learn the social skills that help them to become respectful and contributing members of a community.
