Eligibility for Special Education Services

The Souderton Area School District conducts ongoing Child-Find activities for the purpose of identifying students who may be in need of special education and related services. Additionally, school-based teams regularly review data and provide additional evidence-based supports through our Multi-Tiered System of Supports framework. A multi-disciplinary evaluation (MDE) may be recommended if a child does not make sufficient progress with intensive supports.

Early Intervention MCIU
Parents who have concerns about the development of their three to five year old child can call the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit Early Intervention Office at 610-755-9400  to request a screening or an evaluation.
